The talented Olga from Studio Thimbles will teach you the sewing essentials, including sewing machine basics, creating from a pattern, sewing and hemming. During the workshop, Olga will share a few of her special tips & tricks to help you become a sewing pro in no time.

In this session she will be showing you how to sew your own christmas stocking!

This beginners workshop is perfect for anyone who has always wanted to try sewing or learn sewing basics, which can be used beyond the workshop to create your own pieces, mend items and make stocking gifts for your family and friends.

Included in this workshop:

- All materials required to create your stocking, including fabric. We will have a range of beautiful patterned fabrics for you to choose on the day.

- An introduction to setting up your sewing machine

- How to measure, mark and cut out the pattern of your stocking

- Which tools to use and when

- Uses for different stitches and hemming

- A Sewing machine to use on the day. We want to make sure we are experts in the machines you are using so that if any issues arise we can troubleshoot them ASAP. Additionally making sure we have enough spare parts so everyone can enjoy the session without worry.
