Meet our delightful acrylic artist - Heather

Hey my name is Heather. I like to think of myself as a “professional rainbow”, I love all things colourful and bright. My favourite thing to do is hang out in my little craft room and paint up a storm.

Aside from visual arts I also love to express myself through performing arts. I am trained actor, writer and director and have produced several shows over the years.

Creativity for me is life giving, it strengthens my sense of self, inspires and informs all areas of my life, and brings comfort and joy in tough times. I love living a life of colour!

I have an issue with monetising hobbies, but to be honest I’m not mad about it!

During lockdown I started painting colourful pots to brighten up my home and have been lucky enough to be able to brighten up other people’s homes with my pots too! Colour Pots is still a pretty new venture but I hope to start designing a whole range of homewares in the future.

My other hobby turned side hustle is Designosaur which is a small face painting, craft and party business. You can find me on the weekends, covered in glitter, spreading fairy magic at kids and adults parties across the city. Specialising in face painting, festival glitter and giant bubbles, Designosaur has given me the opportunity to combine my love of entertaining, art and creativity.
