Join us in West Perth, as we transform our workshop space into a sewing room! The talented Ursula from Dvout will teach you the sewing & pattern making essentials (value of two workshops in one!), including sewing machine basics, creating a pattern to suit your body, sewing and hemming. During the workshop, Ursula will share a few of her special tips & tricks to help you become a sewing pro in no time.
In this session she will be showing you how to sew your own skirt, which includes making your own pattern to use time and time again. Your skirt can be customisable to your body, make it your own by choosing what length suits you best and BYO fabric for ultimate customisation.
This beginners workshop is perfect for anyone who has always wanted to try sewing or learn sewing basics, sewing and pattern making skills can be used beyond the workshop to create your own pieces, mend items and make gifts for your family and friends.
What this workshop includes:
- All materials required to draft your pattern & sew your skirt
- An introduction to sewing basics
- How to measure, mark and cut out the pattern of your skirt
- A Sewing machine to use on the day. We want to make sure we are experts in the machines you are using so that if any issues arise we can troubleshoot them ASAP. Additionally making sure we have enough spare parts so everyone can enjoy the session without worry.

What you need to bring:
BYO fabric, you will receive instructions on what fabric works best for this design, along with the quantity you need for the project. Ursula will also have fabric available for sale on the day.
