Clay and Cocktails, what a great way to celebrate Christmas in July. We’ve teamed up with the crew at Whipper Snapper Distillery for a creative experience that’s not to be missed. Hosted amongst the whiskey barrels in East Perth, dust off your Chrissy Jumper and prepare to be inspired.

In this workshop, not only will you learn how to create beautiful ceramics pieces, you’ll also be treated to three of Whipper Snapper’s signature drinks accompanied with a yummy grazing board.

The incredibly talented Megan Brandis will spend the session teaching you the art of hand-building clay. Showing you techniques to create your own set of 5 Christmas ornaments!

Watch the Whipper Snapper team shake & stir cocktails for you to enjoy and take home some tips to create your own cocktails. You’ll also have a chance to explore some of the distillery when you need a break from making.

What this workshop includes:

- All equipment and tools required to create clay ornaments

What to bring:

Clay is wonderfully messy! It does wash out of clothes, but if you are super messy we'd recommend an apron. We have some at the venue if you forget.

Important info about this workshop:

Following the workshop, your pieces will be bisque fired, clear glazed, and glaze fired before being returned for you to collect and treasure within 6-8 weeks.

If you create more than 5 ornaments, you can pay a kiln & glazing fee per item to turn other creations into usable ceramic vessels. Pricing depends on the size of your creation.

Pottery can be challenging, sometimes on the first go, you might not create something you love. We will do our best to help coach you along the way. Ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable. Due to this, there are limitations on the size of your items, sadly pieces break during the firing process and we want to ensure you have a beautiful and functional piece. Trust us, we have had to learn from heartbreak!

Don't worry though our expert will cover all of this at the start of your workshop.
