Pottery Hand Building - Boobie Mugs for Breast Cancer Care WA fundraiser

  • House of Hobby Workshops 28 Drummond Place West Perth, WA, 6005 Australia (map)

Join us for a creative morning, as we put on a special fundraising workshop! With 100% of proceeds going to Breast Cancer Care WA. Our talented creatives & staff are all donating there time and skills to teach you the art of hand building clay, to create your own one of a kind boobie mug.

We love supporting breast cancer care WA, as any funds raise stay in WA and help women and their families who have been affected by breast cancer.

You’ll use your hands to sculpt and create beautiful clay mugs, focusing on the free-form and organic qualities that hand-building can offer. Megan will show you techniques to your mug and how to sculpt a pair of ta-ta's.

This workshop is perfect for catch-ups, dates or a wholesome Sunday morning with friends. All skill levels are welcome!

Clay is a fun hobby, that is perfect for those wanting to try something different.

What this workshop includes:

- All equipment and tools required including clay

- Firing and glazing for 2 x mugs

- Instructions & guidance from one of Perth’s best Ceramicists Megan Brandis

- Morning mimosas on arrival and flowing throughout

- Grazing board to enjoy during the session

- Bottomless loose leaf teas, coffee, and juice

What to bring:

Clay is wonderfully messy! It does wash out of clothes, but if you are super messy we'd recommend an apron. We have some at the venue if you forget.

Important info about this workshop:

Following the workshop, your pieces will be bisque fired, white glazed, and glaze fired before being returned for you to collect and treasure within 6-8 weeks.

If you create more than 2 x items, you can pay a kiln & glazing fee per item to turn other creations into usable ceramic vessels. Pricing depends on the size of your creation.

Pottery can be challenging, sometimes on the first go, you might not create something you love. We will do our best to help coach you along the way. Ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable. Due to this, there are limitations on the size of your items, sadly pieces break during the firing process and we want to ensure you have a beautiful and functional piece. Trust us, we have had to learn from heartbreak!

Don't worry though our expert will cover all of this at the start of your workshop.

This workshop experience is unlike any other and is not to be missed!

House of Hobby works with some of Perth's best creatives to ensure an unforgettable creative experience.

We can’t wait to introduce you to your next creative hobby. Tickets are strictly limited, Attendees must be over 18 years of age.
